The Head and the Heart is a Seattle-based indie folk band that performs original music. It was formed in the summer of 2009 by two young men named Josiah Johnson (vocals, guitar and percussion) and Jonathan Russell (vocals, guitar and percussion). Other members of the band include Charity Rose Thielen (violin and vocals), Chris Zasche (bass), Kenny Hensley (piano) and Tyler Williams.
The band was founded by Josiah Johnson and Jonathan Russell in the summer of 2009. (drums). So far, the band has released two albums via Sub Pop Records, which they signed to in 2007. The band has performed on stages across North America and Europe.
